APPS Family
John APPS & wife Ann (nee) HUMPHREYS boarded vessel "Royal George", in London England on 11 November 1838 and arrived to Sydney 10 March 1839, via Cape of Good Hope, with their 6 children.
They were A:Bounty Immigrant.
Sponsored by W.S. Macleay
They worked at Camden Park.
Notes in the Mitchell Library :-"APPS, John 1838 embarked in a party of agricultural labourers for NSW with his wife & 6 children in the"Royal George". Letter from Major E MacArthur to the colonial office 1839 (Despatches) A12 80P 455."

William APPS was the first born (1822) of this union.
He married Mary GUY at Narellan, NSW in 1847. Mary also arrived in Australia on board "Royal George".
William & Mary's second child was David APPS born at Camden in 1849.

David married Mary DAVIS at St Barnaba's Church, Broadway, Sydney in 1871.
David died 14 June 1900. He was a victim of the "Bubonic Plague".
David & Mary's 3rd child was David. He was born 1875 at Waterloo, Sydney, NSW.


David married Louthran aka "Lauretta" BLYTH 1901 at Waterloo, Sydney, NSW.
the 3rd child of this union was David George APPS born 1908 at Alexandria, Sydney, NSW.

David George APPS married Gladys Virginia MATTHEWS

on the 19th February 1927.

Of this union my father was born.
